Guinea Pigs

Yes, I keep guinea pigs. No, I don't eat them.

Guinea Pigs. Scientifically known as Furry Potatoes, they are only marginally smarter than their starchy counterparts.

But what they lack in smarts they make up for in adorableness. These little creatures are made to be loved by us giant apes. When they’re not making adorable sounds, purring and rumbling, they’re getting up to comedy antics, or stretching and yawning.

If you want a creature that runs after you in a field, or has a useful purpose in your house, don’t get a guinea pig. But if you want to watch some adorable little tribbles living their best lives, get a herd of piggos.

Our herd is exclusively boys, which I guess is surprising for a man-hater like myself. But even without that pertinent fact, keeping a herd of males is quite unusual. Testosterone makes life difficult for the poor things, and means they have to be matched up carefully to stay safe and not get into serious fights.

From our herd below, Bungle lives with baby Bertie, while little Leon lives with George.
